Not really true ,both of the actions will still hurt you.The difference is just only that you are hurt in your heart or outside When your friends said some words, you will still feel hurt too in your heart. It is still painful even you break your bones. They may have indirectly hurt you by saying bad words about you. Is there any more difference between you break your bones and hurt by the words? No, I don't think so... when you will be hurt in either way.
